海南省生物材料与医疗器械工程研究中心于2019年7月通过海南省发展与改革委员会评审,正式设立。本中心研究领域突出热带特色,聚焦临床需求,瞄准精准医学领域发展前沿,基于生物材料、分子探针和诊疗仪器的研发,整合多模态成像技术,在热带疾病可视化影像检测与精准治疗领域展开深入系统的研究,为疾病在热带条件下的发生和发展提供精准医疗数据和方案。研究领域聚焦:1)开发热带疾病的快速筛查、精准诊断和早期预警新技术;2)发展热带创伤快速处理新技术和构建创伤修复新纳米材料。
研究热点围绕生物医学工程学的国际前沿和发展方向,以生物医学材料的应用基础及工程化研究为总体攻关目标,重点开展生物医学物材料及临床诊断器械、生物材料表面/界面及表面改性、药物/基因控释载体和系统、功能纳米生物材料与技术等研究。聚焦准精准医学领域发展前沿,推进产学研深度结合,促进基础研究向临床转化,解决相关重大关键科学与技术问题,为形成和发展海南省高技术生物医用材料前沿产业及其持续发展奠定科学基础,力求引导传统医疗产业技术更新和产品换代。

实验室根据学校“新医科”创新人才培养方案,探索医工结合学科发展,积极成立新医工结合教研室,筹备生物医学工程学院(转化医学研究与发展中心)。拟推出的“新医科”医工结合方向“功能材料与分子影像”公共课程群。致力于提升学校科研水平及研究生的培养质量,融合教学、科研和临床三方面,为学校新医工结合提供良好的科研环境和创新思路。
Engineering Research Center for Hainan Bio-Smart Materials and Bio-Medical Devices was officially established in July 2019 after receiving approval from Hainan Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The center highlights the tropics' unique qualities, concentrates on clinical requirement, and aims to combine basic research with those needs:1) Novel technologies for early accurate molecular diagnosis, rapid detection, and rapid alerts of tropical diseases; 2) Development of bio-nanomaterials for protective wound care and healing. With the application basis and engineering research of biomedical materials as the overall research goal, the research fields involve in the international frontier and development direction of biomedical engineering, emphasizing on biomedical materials & clinical diagnostic devices, biomaterial surface/interface & surface modification, drug/gene controlled release carriers systems, functional nano-biological materials technologies, etc. Laying a scientific foundation for the formation and development of the cutting-edge industry of high-tech biomedical materials in Hainan Province and its sustainable development. Underlining the development frontier of quasi-precision medicine. Promoting the deep integration of industry, education, and research. Centralizing the transformation of basic research into clinical practice.

According to our “New Medicine” innovative talent training program, the team explores the development of the combination of medicine and engineering, actively establishes a new teaching and research section for the combination of medicine and engineering, and prepares for the College of Biomedical Engineering(Centre for Translational Medicine Research and Development ). The proposed “New Medicine” public course group “Functional Materials and Molecular Imaging” in the direction of integration of medicine and engineering. Committed to improving our scientific research level and the quality of postgraduate training, integrating teaching, scientific research and clinical practice, providing a good scientific research environment and innovative ideas for our new medical-engineering integration.
